A: If iMediaShare is not automatically recognized by your PlayStation 3, verify that PlayStation 3 media server is enabled (Settings -> Network Settings -> Media Server), and also search for media servers manually - select Search for Media Servers from the corresponding media section. If this does not help, read on.
In some cases the issue is caused by your Wi-Fi router. Most routers have the UPnP setting disabled by default. Please find instructions on enabling it in your router manual. If you received your router from your ISP you should also be able to contact your ISP customer support for help.
Q: When I try to play Android videos from my Android-powered phone on my TV/PlayStation 3/XBox360 they fail. What is wrong?
A: iMediaShare identifies only video files natively supported by the Android platform. When a video playback is initiated it passes the selected video to your TV/PlayStation 3/XBox360 in the original format it was recorded. It is up to your TV/PlayStation 3/XBox360 to support the video format for playback. Consult with your TV/PlayStation 3/XBox360 user manual for supported video formats. Android officially supported formats can be found here.
Q: Why does iMediaShare for Android require availability of Wi-Fi?
A: Wi-Fi is a prerequisite for estabilishing a connection between iMediaShare and your TV/PlayStation 3/XBox360. If such a connection is not available iMediaShare is unable to stream digital contents to those devices. In some of the upcoming releases we plan to disable the Wi-Fi check so that video playback over 3G/4G on Android handsets is enabled.
